Stewart Collis, the Senior Program Officer for Digital Agriculture Solutions at the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation, came to town for the Future of Food Forum, where he was a keynote speaker. The day after the conference, he stopped by our lab here at Frazier-Rogers:
If only we had known he was coming earlier, we could have tidied up a little!
Mr. Collis visited us in a narrow window in which MARS-X was (mostly) operational, but hadn’t yet been transferred to Citra. Since he wanted to see the robot, we drove it (slowly) around the inside of the lab. Not the most impressive MARS demo we’ve ever done, but at least it worked. Maybe he’ll come back next year and we can show him the robot in the field.
